Find True Happiness – Read Surah Taha

SURA 20. Ta Ha

1. Ta Ha
2. We have not sent down the Qur’an to thee to be [an occasion] for thy distress,
3. But only as an admonition to those who fear [Allah],-
4. A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high.
5. [Allah] Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne [of authority].
6. To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil.
7. If thou pronounce the word aloud, [it is no matter]: for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden.
8. Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names.

Action Plan

1.  The ere can be no distress with Islam despite all the difficult circumstances and obstacles facing religious and pious people. Yet, man suffers only when he deviates away from the right path of Allah (SWT).

2.. Youth who are not religious, or who want to be so but fear that this will bring them unhappiness if they follow Allah’s (SWT) right path, can benefit froohave nbjective of this surah is clear from the first Ayah, as Allah (SWT) says what can be translated as, “Ta-Ha. We ot sent down the Qur’an unto you (O Muhammad SAWS) to cause you distress”. ( 20:1-2).

This means that Allah’s (SWT) religion and way are never meant to cause people to suffer; it is rather the way of happiness. Thm this surah more than anybody else. Most of them think that following the right way of Allah (SWT) will cause them depression and will deprive them of the pleasures of life and means of entertainment. This is a completely wrong concept: the surah highlights the fact that Islam is the source of real happiness and shows that those who get away from it will suffer in life and in the hereafter. What a wonderful meaning! How can this surah stress it?

3. This sūrah begins and ends with an address to the Prophet explaining his task and outlining the limits of his duties. It is not a mission of distress that has been imposed on him, nor is it an affliction which he has to endure. It is a mission of advocacy and admonition, giving good news and warning against wrongdoing. The ultimate judgement over people is exercised by God, the One, who has no partners, and who controls the whole universe, with all that appears of it and what remains hidden. God is the One who is fully aware of all hearts’ secrets, and to whom all people prostrate. It is to Him that all people, obedient and sinners, refer. Hence, the Prophet should not be bothered by whoever chooses the path of unbelief. He should not be distressed over their denial of the truth.
